“This show is hard-hitting in all the right ways while also being clever, witty, effortlessly charming, and humorous.”

Imagine having HUNDREDS of jobs and only being known for being blonde and wearing pink. Barbara has had enough so she’s telling her story, her way.

It’d be unbelievable…if it didn’t happen all the time.

This isn’t based on a real woman…and YET I have no doubt if one woman medaled in the Olympics, went to space, was every kind of doctor, and held every political position she’d have a similar fate as Barbara.

I weaved in stories of women in history to prove that point. Too many women inspired this story that I couldn’t mention them all by name…and is autobiographical fiction a thing? Because I also pulled in stories from my own life. Some are veiled…some are less veiled…and some were cut for time in this Fringe edition of the show.

I wrote this show because I don’t know how else to process my frustration with the world than with songs and jokes…and because I don’t know how else a woman can claim her own story besides telling it herself.

Thank you to our audiences who brought energy and life to this story that, somewhat unfortunately, is relatable to many.
